What Is Serotonin?

Definition:

Serotonin is a chemical messenger in the brain that plays a role in modulating anxiety, mood, sleep, appetite and sexuality. The class of antidepressants called Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are generally considered first-line medications to treat panic disorder.
