Definition:

Angina is chest pain due to an inadequate supply of oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. The condition is usually due to an obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries. Stable angina is predictable and generally occurs upon exertion, such as during exercise. Unstable angina is unpredictable and may occur at rest.
