(1) Managing Panic Attacks says:

Not only with the economic crisis going on, but the Holidays as well.

Holiday anxiety added to the problems with the economy can make it very difficult for those without panic disorder, let alone those who suffer from it.

The key thing to remember is to try and ’slow yourself down’ and take some time each day to think about YOU and what is in YOUR best interest.

I have found that panic attacks and background anxiety are caused by excess cortisol in the blood. That is all it is. Excess cortisol can be reduced by taking 100-200 mg of phosphatidylserine (health food store), preferably before bed, but anytime you feel anxious. When I first took it, after about 40 min., my background anxiety just stopped. You must high-dose magnesium to fix the problem-700-900 mg a day and always 20% more than calcium (it will cause diarrea if you take more than 250 mg at a time so spread it throughout the day.). Mag fixed the problem in me in about 3 or 4 months and getting better and better and younger everyday. Apparently lack of magnesium and hormonal imbalance is what causes anxiety and panic. Mag is used up by stress and must be replaced. Calcium overpowers magnesium and that is why you have to have more mag than cal. You can actually handle very high stress levels if your magnesium is high enough. 5-HTP will calm your thoughts. 5-10mg of DHEA has stopped depression in me in about 40 min. Get angry at the panic, say is that all you can give me? Make it bigger and worse next time!!! and the panic goes away because you are ordering it, instead of it ordering you.
